Darton State in 2nd after first day of District Preview

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

It wasn't a bad day for the Darton State Cavaliers. It just wasn't a record day, and that's why the Cavs sit in second place after day one of the District IV Preview.

The Eastern Florida State Titans shot a tournament record 557 over 36 holes Monday, leaving them 16 shots in front of the Cavaliers.

Freshman Jake O'Bryan led Darton with a two-under 142 (72, 70) Monday. Sophomore Tae Kim sits at even par after one day at 144(70, 74).

The Preview concludes with 18 holes Tuesday. They'll get started with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
