A local child care center has returned to Springfield's South End after being destroyed by a tornado back on June 1, 2011.
Square One officially opened Family Square on Main Street.
The tornado destroyed the pre-school and Square One's administrative offices that used to be there.
On Wednesday, Square One reps said they couldn't be happier about their new home.
"I am very excited. Square One, after 2 years of re-cooperating from the tornado, we are finally back in the South End, and we're just delighted to be back here. It's where we have been since 1883 so it's good to get back to our new home," said Joan Kaga, President of Square One.
Family Square will initially house all of Square One's parenting programs and family services, as well as a classroom.
Administrative offices are expected to move into the building in the spring of 2014.
