As students begin their fall semester at UMass, they had the chance to sign up and possibly save a life on Sunday.
The organization Delete Blood Cancer was on campus as part of UFest.
Delete Blood Cancer is the world's largest bone marrow center, with 3.5 million registered bone marrow donors.
Students were asked to stop by, register their names and take a cheek swab to be kept on file. The swabs will see if they are a DNA match for someone that may need bone marrow.
Organizers told CBS 3 that UMass has one of the largest enrollment rates for this program in the country.
