A severe thunderstorm has caused damage and power outages in northern Franklin County late Saturday afternoon.
The Greenfield Police Department told CBS 3 that downed trees and power lines were being cleared from the northern section of town.
They said the hardest hit roads appear to be Country Club Road, Leyden Road and Stetson Road.
As of 7:30 p.m., Western Massachusetts Electric Company's outage map reports that 3 percent of Greenfield customers are without power, 11 percent of Colrain customers are without power and less than 1 percent of customers in the towns of Leyden and Shelburne are without power.
CBS 3 had a crew heading in Franklin County. We'll have more details and video of the damage tonight at 11.
