A Longmeadow tree-worker had quite the scare Wednesday afternoon when he fell out of his lift while working on a tree behind a house on Wheel Meadow Drive in Longmeadow.
The tree he was working on snapped, causing the incident.
Longmeadow Fire Department said the man was cutting a tree limb while in the bucket of the truck when a large section of the limb split and landed on the bucket arm, forcing the man to fall out of the bucket.
Firefighters found the man dangling from the bucket arm approximately 70 feet in the air when they arrived .
Police have not released the worker's name.
According to Fire Captain Steven Mercieri, the man was transported to Baystate Medical Center with non life threatening injuries.
