Free health fairs will be offered in Springfield during this year's National Health Center Week entitled, Celebrating America's Health Centers: Transforming Health Care in Our Local Communities.
These health fairs, which are hosted by Baystate Medical Center, are designed to educate adults and children on the importance of achieving a healthy lifestyle.
Free health screenings will be provided and will offer blood pressure and confidential rapid HIV testing.
Health information on various topics including diabetes, hypertension, asthma and depression will also be available.
The fair will operate through 4 p.m. Tuesday at Baystate High Street Health Center at 140 High St. It will continue on Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Baystate Mason Square Neighborhood Health Center at 11 Wilbraham Rd. The last day of the fair will be Friday, Aug. 16 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Kenefick Park on Plainfield Street.
