EAST CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
While police and community volunteers search abandoned homes for more bodies in East Cleveland, one father fears what happened to his daughter in that same neighborhood. .
"Last time I saw my daughter it was the Monday before she disappeared" said Van Terry the father of missing 18 year old Shirellda Terry.
Shirellda's dad wants the public to take a good look at her picture on missing posters and think about whether they've seen her. He's been desperately searching for her since the day she vanished.
"To be honest with you sleep has not been a priority, I haven't gotten any, I'll sleep when I know my baby is safe" said Van Terry.
Shirellda was last seen about eleven days ago on July 10th leaving her summer job at East Clark Elementary. It was about 1pm o'clock and she went walking home through the neighborhood It's not that far from where those three bodies were found this weekend near Shaw an Hayden. That's why her dad is so worried.
"I've talked to the police. They've asked me about my daughter, far as tattoos, cavIties, hair type, haircut. I'm feeling kind of confident neither one is my daughter" said Terry.
Van Terry feels his daughter is still around and that's why he has this message for her.
"If you could hear me baby, call your father, call your father now" said Terry.
In the meantime he'll keep his daughters picture on his suv and keep driving around looking and with the community's help keep putting up flyers as they have in this neighborhood.
"I just want people to know, keep the prayers going and please by any means help me find my child and help to bring her home" said Terry.
