A 22-year-old man is recovering after being shot in the arm and chest in Hartford Tuesday afternoon.
The unidentified man was hit by at least one small caliber bullet in the area of Bushnell Street around noon.
The man was alert and conscious when he was brought to Hartford Hospital, police said.
After his hospital visit, the man will be turned over to the Connecticut State Police because he has a warrant for his arrest on motor vehicle charges.
Police said the investigation is in the very early stages and there are no suspects at this time.
Hartford Police Major Crimes Division and Shooting Task Force are investigating the shooting.
