FORT MOHAVE, AZ (CBS5) -

A Fort Mohave woman was arrested Saturday and booked into jail on suspicion of misdemeanor assault and felony aggravated assault charges after she screamed for someone to call 911 because she cut herself.

Mohave County sheriff's deputies found Sharon Theresa Hovik, 39, in a recreation vehicle in a vacant lot behind a Fort Mohave business after she screamed she had cut her finger while slicing vegetables, said Trish Carter of the sheriff's office.

During their investigation, deputies talked with two men, one of whom identified himself as Hovik's boyfriend, Carter said.

They told deputies Hovik and her 52-year-old boyfriend had been arguing and that she threatened him with the knife. Deputies said the boyfriend also had scratch marks down a side of his face.

As Hovik was being taken out of the RV, she fainted and was taken to a hospital, where she refused treatment, Carter said.

She was then taken to an MCSO substation, where she was also arrested on the felony assault charge for allegedly grabbing a 12-year-old boy and throwing him in a kitchen appliance at a Fort Mohave residence May 31.

Deputies had been unsuccessful in finding Hovik until Saturday, Carter said.
