Longmeadow officials will begin flushing water mains in the town Monday.
The process is expected to last for around two weeks. The flushing will occur Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Officials are asking residents to check their water before washing clothes or cooking. The system flushing can affect water pressure and or discolor water. If water is discolored residents are advised to run cold water for a few minutes until it becomes clear.
