It has now been more than a week since the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing were caught.
Saturday, a Western Mass town did its part to honor the city and the victims.
Ludlow officials collected donations throughout different parts of the town, and the money will go directly to One Fund Boston, which was set up by Boston officials to aid the marathon victims.
Organizers told CBS 3 that the town just wanted to do something.
"Even though we are an hour and a half away, that is an event that all of us take part in," said Bill Rooney, chairman of the Ludlow Board of Selectmen."Even though it is the Boston Marathon, it is really all throughout Massachusetts."
Ludlow held a similar donation drive after Hurricane Katrina and raised several thousand dollars.
