AMHERST, MA (WSHM) -

In the recent wake of the events that have unfolded in Boston, there will be a Community Run on campus at UMass.

The run will start at approximately on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.

The run will begin from the plaza between Mullins and the practice rink. This run serves the purposes of showing the student support for Boston and to show perpetrators of these horrific attacks that adversity will be overcome, and peace is the best ally.

No registration is required as you are only asked to show up.

The route will be approximately 2.62 miles, and will be run at a leisurely pace, around campus.

All participants are asked to meet in front of Mullins around 6:00 p.m. as the run will begin at 6:30 p.m.

You are asked to wear yellow and blue t-shirts.  Running as a unified group demonstrates that this community, country, and human race will not bow to terrorism.

Everyone is invited.
