It took 35 firefighters from three different towns to take care of a fire Sunday morning.
The Ware Fire Department told CBS 3 that the end apartment in a four-family complex on Stony Point Drive had heavy smoke and fire showing on arrival.
No firefighters were injured battling the blaze; however, a female resident was taken to the hospital.
She was treated and released for injuries sustained during the fire.
The cause of the fire was determined to be careless disposal of smoking materials in a home where medical oxygen was in use.
All of the damage was contained to the one apartment, which Ware firefighters say was gutted.
Ware Fire Department said it was assisted by firefighters from Warren and Palmer.
