SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -
Springfield police have made two arrests following a drug raid Tuesday night at 29 Brookline Ave.
Charlie Santiago and Geneva Griffith are facing several charges including trafficking of crack cocaine, 100-200, grams and possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute.
Narcotics officers conducted an investigation of the couple who were allegedly running a large cocaine distribution center. Police say they would deliver large amounts of cocaine throughout the region for street sale.
More than $6,000 cash was found inside of the couple's apartment, in addition to several guns, one of which was reported stolen in a housebreak two years ago, and 128 grams of cocaine.
Santiago and Griffith are expected to be arraigned in Springfield District Court sometime Wednesday.
