Residents gathered downtown Sunday afternoon to raise awareness of domestic violence.
The rally was done in memory of Jessica Rojas and Julie Treadwell.
One year ago Sunday, police said Rojas was killed in a domestic violence dispute with her boyfriend.
Last month, Treadwell was shot and killed in what police are calling a murder-suicide.
Organizers of the event believe more needs to be done to shed light on domestic violence.
The event began on the steps of City Hall.
Organizers planned to walk from there to the Northgate Plaza.
