HOLYOKE, MA (WSHM) -
Holyoke Police officer Jeffrey Joniec was on Maple Street when he heard several gunshots early Monday morning.
Officer Joniec says he arrived at Sargeant Street in a marked cruiser and saw three males on the sidewalk and approached them as they began to flee on foot.
Police say one of the males, identified as Brian Vazquez-Rivera, kneeled and placed an object into a snow bank, which was later said to be a revolver.
All three suspects were stopped by Officer Joniec when backup units arrived.
Vasquez-Rivera was arrested and the revolver was listed as stolen from South Windsor, CT.
