This weekend marked the two-day Jewish celebration that is Purim.
The Jewish Community Center in Springfield held its annual Purim carnival on Sunday.
This year's theme was Hollywood.
Those in attendance were invited to dress up as their favorite Hollywood characters.
In addition to costumes, there was a bounce house and many carnival-themed games for children to play.
Jeff Rembrandt, the assistant deputy director of the JCC, told CBS 3 that Purim is the holiday that celebrates a time when the Jewish population living in Persia were saved from extermination by Queen Esther.
