
Springfield firefighters are fighting flames at a home on Grove Street.
The 2 1/2 family wood-framed home is fully engulfed.
No word on any injuries or a cause of the fire.
CBS 3 spoke with the granddaughter of the woman who owns the home. She told CBS 3 that she had left the home, and when she arrived on-scene, she saw the flames.
She says her grandmother has owned the home for at least 40 years.
Executive Aide to the Springfield Fire Commissioner, Dennis Leger told CBS 3 that fire crews responded in a matter of minutes but the home was already severely engulfed. He said Red Cross will be assisting the family.
