Springfield Falcons host interactive hockey event for fans

Falcons player Scott Howes shows a young fan some stick techniques

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Valley hockey fans got a chance to get up close and personal with their hometown team on Wednesday, as players from the Springfield Falcons hosted an interactive event for the public.

Fans got involved with floor hockey challenges with the help of players like team captain Ryan Craig. Several players and the team's mascot, Screech, signed autographs for the young fans in attendance.

The annual event, usually held during winter vacation week for area schools, was completely free.
