Yavapai County authorities report that a 2-year-old Seligman-area boy was found safe by searchers.
The sheriff's office says Ryan Garibay was found late Wednesday following a four-hour search.
The office says the boy was found along a fence line about 2 1/2 miles from his home after deputies and a local rancher discovered and followed a set of tracks.
The boy had been in the care of a grandfather when he was reported missing. He had last been seen playing in the backyard of the grandfather.
Volunteers and personnel from numerous agencies joined in the search, which was aided by search dogs and helicopters.
The extensive search efforts implemented are credited for finding Ryan safe before the extremely cold temperatures that quickly follow sunset set in.
