
The city of Holyoke is getting $445,000 in grant money to put towards policing.
The police department will get $100,000, and $80,000 of their money will go to the street crime unit, while another $20,000 will go to the department's mobile policing unit.
The grant comes from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Safety and Security, and is given to help communities combat gang violence.
