Democratic U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch officially kicked off his bid for U.S. Senate.
The Boston Democrat greeted voters at O'Brien's Corner restaurant in Springfield on Thursday morning.
Lynch acknowledged being the underdog, but said voters deserve a choice on who will fill John Kerry's seat.
The only other Democrat who has officially announced he's running is U.S. Rep. Edward Markey of Malden.
People close to former Sen. Scott Brown say the Republican is leaning strongly towards running.
And he will most likely enter the race early next week.
