Following an article about how a vegetarian diet is a major way to improve your health, Quorn Foods Inc. releases a statement.
Bohemia, N.Y. (PRWEB) January 30, 2013
On January 30, 2013, Quorn Foods Inc. releases a statement following a Sunday World article by Sam Mathe regarding how raw and vegetarian healthy food leads to better health and vitality.
According to the Sunday World article, “Many people don't mind nibbling at a raw carrot once in a while. But they will grimace at the thought of eating raw beetroot and would be nauseated to learn that raw spinach and half-boiled ginger and garlic are someone's daily bread.”
The article states that South African poet, Jessica Mbangeni, broke away from her meat-eating diet known well by her proud Xhosa heritage. According to the article Mbangeni is now a raw food vegetarian, and admits the diet has made her a happier and healthier person. The article informs that a raw food vegetarian eats raw, unprocessed and organic foods consisting of lots of vegetables, fruits and nuts.
According to Mbangeni, “I'm not a food activist. I just want people to be aware of the health benefits of this type of vegetarian lifestyle. My three grannies died prematurely of diabetes, heart attacks, depression and strokes because of too much starch in their diet.”
Quorn Foods Inc. applauds Mbangeni for making the difficult switch to a raw vegetarian healthy food diet. “It is not always easy to give up meat and stick to a strict vegetarian diet, but understanding the benefits could make the decision easier for you,” said Quorn representative David Wilson. “While raw veganism is great, anyone sticking to regular veganism or vegetarianism should try cooking up a meat alternative like Quorn. Quorn products offer a variety of delicious meat substitutes that can be cooked into tasty meals.”
Quorn Foods launched nationally in the US in 2002. Unlike other vegetarian food companies, Quorn foods use mycoprotein: a naturally occurring, healthy form of protein that replicates the taste and texture of meat while being significantly lower in saturated fats and calories. Quorn Foods offer a wide range of products including ready to serve meals, food for your barbecue, breaded meat substitutes, snacks and components to make your own meals from scratch. The wonderful taste of Quorn meatless meals provides the taste of the foods you love without sacrificing nutrition.
