Senator John Kerry confirmed as Secretary of State

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Tuesday, Jan. 29 marks a historic day here in Massachusetts.

It has been confirmed that Sen. John Kerry is now Secretary of State.

Kerry will be doing a Thank You Tour around Massachusetts on Thursday.

Elizabeth Warren also is making history today as she became the senior senator, making her the first female senior senator from Massachusetts.
