A Huntington man is facing drunk driving charges after crashing his dirt bike early Thursday morning.
State Trooper Donald Wilmot was on duty along Route 112, when he discovered a dirt bike that appeared recently crashed. Wilmot heard a voice from the woods and quickly found a man and a woman who had been thrown from the bike and onto the icy bank of the Westfield River.
Police say the victims, Dakota Cornelius, 21, and Stefanie Maxwell, 22 had to be transported by ambulance to Bay State Medical Center.
After further investigation, state troopers say Cornelius had been driving the dirt bike without headlights and while impaired by alcohol.
