Firefighters responded to what they are calling an arson incident shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday at 252 Locust St.
Dennis Leger, aide to Fire Commissioner Joseph Conant, told CBS 3 that someone set a fire near the cellar window of what is a very dangerous, vacant building with many holes in the floor.
Firefighters were able to knock the fire down quickly.
It was the second blaze they had to battle in that group of buildings in the past week.
