A 23-year-old woman is in critical condition after being hit by a car while crossing the street in Hartford Friday night.
According to police, a Pontiac Grand Prix hit the unidentified woman near the intersection of Sigourney Street and Farmington Avenue just before 6 p.m.
After the car struck the woman, the motor vehicle slammed into the Family Dollar and created a hole in the building.
The woman was at St. Francis Hospital where she was in critical, but stable condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Hartford Police Department. No charges have been filed at this time.
