Elms College wants to help the under-served and homeless population.
To do that, they cut the ribbon Sunday morning on their new "Care Van."
The retro-fitted camper will allow nursing students from the school to provide free healthcare checks, such as blood pressure, blood sugar, foot care and much more.
The vehicle is the brain child of Dr. Michael Duffy, who told CBS 3 that it is much needed in the area.
The vehicle will be available every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the former CVS parking lot.
It will also be at Lorraine's Soup Kitchen from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.
