United States Sen. Elizabeth Warren announced the hiring of Bruno Freita, who will work in her Washington D.C. office as the economic development director and senior adviser.
Freita is quite familiar with the Massachusetts political scene.
He served the last 18 years under former U.S. Rep. Barney Frank and was most recently Frank's chief of staff and legislative director.
"Bruno is an expert on the key economic issues affecting the Commonwealth's businesses and families. He will bring extensive knowledge of Massachusetts' issues to this position," said Warren.
