NORTHAMPTON, MA (WSHM) -
A water main break was reported this morning causing a section of Jackson Street to close.
The city's department of public works reported that Jackson Street is closed from Prospect Street to the Jackson Street Bridge over the rail trail. Parents dropping children off at the local Jackson Street School are asked to find an alternative route.
The DPW is on the scene though it is not yet determined how long the road will be closed for repair.
