Police arrested a man Saturday who is accused of robbing a Subway restaurant at knifepoint in Hartford.
John Thomas, 48, went to a Subway restaurant on Main Street around 4:30 p.m., officials said. He allegedly ordered a sandwich and asked an employee if he could use the bathroom. He then went through a door for employee use and revealed a knife. He told an employee to open a cash drawer where he took $220. Police said Thomas then fled on foot.
Police responded to the robbery and arrested Thomas shortly after. No one was hurt in the incident.
