BOSTON (AP) - Prosecutors in the trial of reputed gangster James "Whitey" Bulger have objected to a defense request to provide the name of a confidential informant Bulger's lawyers hope can help undermine the credibility of 2 key witnesses against Bulger. Bulger's lawyers asked the judge to order prosecutors to turn over the name of the informant mentioned in an FBI report from 2000.
BOSTON (AP) - Governor Deval Patrick and his wife, Diane, are grandparents for the first time. The governor's office announced that their oldest daughter, Sarah Baker Patrick Morgese (mor-GAY'-see), gave birth to a son today in san Francisco. Even though Gianluca Noah Patrick Morgese arrived two months early and weighed just two pounds, eight ounces, mother and baby are doing well.
