
The governor's administration has awarded more than $6.8 million in workforce training fund grants. The grants, which support up to two years of training, will create 682 jobs and train more than 6,300 workers across the state.
Here locally, the New England Business Associates were awarded close to $30,000. The money will allow them to train 40 employees and create five jobs.
In Holyoke, the James J. Dowd and Sons insurance agency received close to $50,000. This will help them train 41 employees.
