With a winter weather advisory in effect for all of the Pioneer Valley, towns and cities throughout Western Massachusetts are issuing parking bans.
As of now, here are the parking bans that have been reported to CBS 3:
Agawam: No parking on streets from Sunday at 12 a.m. until Monday at 6 p.m.
Chicopee: No parking on designated main streets or on the odd side of secondary streets. The ban begins on Saturday at 7 p.m. and runs until Sunday at 7 a.m.
Easthampton: Parking ban in effect for all city streets. It begins Saturday at 10 p.m. and runs through Sunday at 7 a.m.
Granby: No parking on the street is allowed beginning 12 p.m. Saturday. The ban is in effect until further notice.
Holyoke: No parking is allowed on the even side of any street beginning Saturday at 5 p.m. The ban runs until Sunday at 5 p.m.
Longmeadow: A parking ban is in effect from the time snow/ice begins until 12 hours after the cessation of precipitation. Vehicles parked on the street that interfere with winter operations shall be subject to ticketing and towing at the owners expense.
Monson: No motor vehicle, other than a town vehicle acting in an emergency shall be parked on any way within the town. The ban begins Saturday at 6 p.m. and continues until Sunday at 6 a.m.
Springfield: A city wide parking ban is in effect beginning Saturday at 7 p.m. and will end Sunday at 7 p.m. No parking is allowed on the even side of the street from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. No parking is allowed on the odd side of the street from 9 a.m. until Sunday 4 p.m.
DCR: As of Saturday at 9 p.m. the Department of Conservation and Recreation or DCR will institute a parking ban on all of their roads in anticipation of the pending storm. These roads are all around parks, waterways and areas generally patrolled by the Massachusetts State Police. All vehicles not removed from these areas will be towed to allow for snow removal and emergency access.
Bright Nights in Forest Park will close Saturday at 7 p.m.
