Bank of America closing two local branches

Bank of America plans to close four more branches across the state in March.

Here locally, the Bank of America branch on Main Street in Springfield's north end will close.  And the drive-up window at the branch on Main Street in Westfield.

The Massachusetts closures are part of a wider plan by the bank to close 750 of its roughly 5,700 U.S. branches.

This move will eliminate at least 30,000 jobs over the next few years.
