The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission has released its list of the top 100 intersections across the region for a high incidence of accidents.
The report compiles data collected from 2007 through 2009 and shows that Springfield had the most intersections with a high number of crashes, with 46 out of the top 100 located within the city.
The top intersection for crashes was the intersection of Boston Road and Parker Street, which saw 83 crashes during the three-year time span, including 28 with injuries.
In addition to listing high-crash intersections, the report also lists the most hazard-prone rotaries in western Massachusetts. The PVPC says the report will be used to help plan road improvement projects in the future.
