Children and families with incarcerated loved ones got the chance to lean on each other and have a fun time Saturday afternoon.
In honor of International Human Rights Day, the Justice for Charles Wilhite group threw a community and family fair inside the Rebecca M. Johnson school.
Wilhite remains in jail as he awaits a new trial for a murder that his family says he did not commit.
Saturday's event was about showing support no matter what situation families face.
Wilhite is due back in court Monday, Dec. 16, for a pre-trial hearing.
His family said they will be passing around a petition, asking for the district attorney to drop the charges against Wilhite.
