Open house scheduled for Northampton police station

NORTHAMPTON, MA (WSHM) -

Northampton residents will soon be able to take a tour of their new police station.

The 31,000-square-foot facility is more than triple the size of the original station that was built in 1965. Police say they have the most advanced technology in the area.

The $17 million police station also includes a two-level parking garage at the former police station.

An open house is scheduled at the new facility located at 29 Center St., on Dec. 22, which will begin at 11 a.m.
