Less than four weeks ago, Elizabeth Warren defeated Sen. Scott Brown to become the next U.S. Senator for the commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Saturday, Warren kicked off a "thank you tour" across the Bay State and the first stop was at Theodore's in downtown Springfield.
A packed crowd was on hand to hear from the woman they supported and voted for back on November 6.
Warren said the idea that she is now the senator-elect is slowly sinking in.
She spoke on several issues to the packed crowd and stressed the importance of the upcoming filibuster legislation.
Warren also commended Mayor Domenic Sarno and Springfield city officials for the handling of last week's downtown explosion.
The senator-elect's tour continued on to Worcester on Saturday afternoon and she will make an appearance in Fall River on Sunday.
