A family that lost their house during the June 1 tornado last year is one step closer to being back home.
The DeLands house overlooks the mountain and the path that the tornado took as it swept through the town.
Now with a new house, the family turned to a group called the Monson Street Angels.
With the family unable to come up with the money to paint the inside of the new building, the group rounded up the product and the support.
The dozen volunteers Saturday were made up of the Street Angels, as well as neighbors and friends of the DeLand family.
The group said their job is not done until the DeLands are back home, which they hope will be by Christmas.
Since the June 1 tornado, the Monson Street Angels have helped approximately 15 families in the town.
