
Granby fire officials responded to 312 Amherst St. for a reported fire and found heavy smoke and flames shooting out of the roof of the home.
The blaze happened around 6 this evening and it took three hours to put out.
Officials told CBS 3 the fire started on the first floor and made its way to the attic. The homeowner was home when it started but got out unharmed.
There is about $20,000 in damage.
