Holyoke police plan on making Christmas a little brighter for less fortunate families.
For the past 25 years, officers with the narcotics unit have collected toys, loaded up in police cars and driven to some of the less fortunate parts of the Paper City.
The police department is now seeking toy donations for this Christmas.
Police Chief James Neiswanger says that it's a tradition that brings the police and the community closer together.
"All my detectives come in Christmas morning to do this, to give back to the community in the spirit of Christmas. I think everyone enjoys it," he said.
Toy donations can be brought to the Holyoke Police Department. They must be unwrapped and brand new.
