A portion of Sumner Ave in Springfield will be closed Monday

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

A portion of Sumner Ave in Springfield will be shut down Monday.

Police tell us from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sumner Avenue between Lyndale Street and Converse Street to Ormond Street will be completely shut down to motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

The District Attorney's Office along with the Springfield police and the state inspectors will be reconstructing a fatal accident scene that took place their last July 2012.

Residents who live in the neighborhood will be allowed entrance to their streets on the other end. Officers will be on scene assisting with the traffic congestion.
