Drive-by shooting in Springfield leaves hole in child's window

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Police are investigating an overnight drive-by shooting.

The incident occurred in the area of 287 Central St.

CBS 3 media partner, Mass Live and The Republican, reported that police recovered 12 shell casings from the area and that one of the bullets went through a child's bedroom window.

The child was not hurt.

The incident remains under investigation.
