Westfield cyclist dies after being hit by truck

WESTFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

An 86-year-old man is dead after being hit by a pickup truck in Westfield.

Westfield police say a truck hit the unidentified victim while he was riding his bike near Westfield State University's field house around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Paramedics brought the man to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield where he died.

Police are still investigating. The driver has not been charged.
