Approximately 150 runners braved the cold weather Sunday morning to make their way out to the city's South End to take part in the 13th edition of the Sheriff's Shuffle.
The 5K event, put on by Hampden County Sheriff Michael Ashe, raises money for various charities and nonprofit organizations each year.
This time around, Springfield's South End Community Center was the benefactor.
Last year's event was canceled due to the June 1 tornado, so Ashe said it felt good to have the event back up and running.
Ashe told CBS 3 that over the years the Sheriff's Shuffle has raised $80,000 to $90,000.
