Health care aid sentenced for stealing from client

CHICOPEE, MA (WSHM) -

A Chicopee health care worker is going to jail for stealing more than $90,000 from a 91-year old woman she cared for.

A judge sentenced Rosemarie Amaker, 27, to 30 months in prison. She will spend the next year in jail. The rest of her sentence has been suspended for five years.

Her lawyer claims Amaker stole the money to feed a drug addiction.

Amaker's husband is also facing charges. His case is still pending.
