This past Thursday, Springfield's deadline came and went for casinos interested in operating in the city.
In August, MGM announced a proposed $800 million facility in downtown.
This past week, Penn National proposed an $807 million casino resort in the city's north end.
This weekend, CBS 3 learned of Ameristar's plans, which call for a $910 million complex.
The company already owns land in Springfield, as they bought the former Westinghouse site for $16 million.
In all, Ameristar owns 41 acres just off of Interstate 291.
In a release, Ameristar said their casino resort spa complex will provide an unmatched combination of comfort and elegance.
The company stated that the facility will feature a 150,000-square-foot casino, 500 luxury hotel rooms, multiple swimming pools and a full service spa.
The complex will also have 18,000 square feet of entertainment and meeting space.
Ameristar also said that they will have room for future expansion.
The company said renderings of the proposed casino resort will be available in the near future.
