
It appears town businesses will soon learn more details about Mohegan Sun's proposed Palmer casino.
In a release Saturday night from the Palmer Businesses for a Palmer Casino, the group said Mohegan Sun officials will appear this Wednesday at a regional chamber lunch.
The release went on to say that Mohegan officials will outline their timeline for a license application and referendum for the town.
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission requires all applicants to pay a $400,000 fee.
So far, the only casino with an interest in Western Massachusetts to pay the application fee is MGM.
They are proposing an $800 million casino resort in downtown Springfield.
The gaming commission is allowed to award one casino license to Western Mass.
