2 suspects plead not guilty to murder

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Springfield police have arrested two men in connection with a fatal home invasion back in August.

Ashton Hennessey, 20, and Joseph Watkins, 23, plead not guilty to murder in connection with the death of Nicholas Ruiz-Gomez.

Ruiz-Gomez died the day after he was shot in the head during a home invasion at his Commonwealth Avenue home. Another man suffered from a gunshot wound to the leg. He's since recovered.

Both men are being held without the right to bail.
